Guidelines and CHS Girls Golf Team Values

The CHS Girls Golf Team’s core values are Integrity, Positivity and Excellence.

We expect our players to have integrity on and off the golf course, treating their family, friends and teammates with support and respect. Golf is one of the only sports with no referees, so we also expect our players to follow and execute the rules of golf, holding themselves and their playing partners accountable for their scores whether it be the State Championships or a 9-hole match against a small school. Failure to comply with the core value of integrity may result in elimination from the team.

Positivity is also hugely important for the CHS Girls Golf Team. Each player should support every single one of their teammates through kindness, support and empowerment. Positivity also means having an optimistic view on one's round and the conditions. Negative comments on how cold, windy or muddy it is won't help the team. With a positive mindset, the whole team will succeed.

Playing spring golf in the Pacific Northwest is a challenge as the team is often faced with tough weather and course conditions. However, great things can happen when each player has integrity, positivity and strives for excellence. No matter how hard it may rain, or how cold it gets, or how hard the wind blows, each player should try their very best in practice AND tournaments.

Additionally, one of Camas High School’s rules to be eligible to play any sport is meeting the requirements of the CHS Athletic Code.
